Welcome to the Kurumi website. Where the home page offers some highlights and breaking news, this page lists everything on the site.

You can also search the site with our built-in search engine.

  • About Kurumi - Why this site exists; what "Kurumi" means
  • What's New - latest updates; newest listed first
  • The Bookstore - Reviews and links for road-related books
  • Corrections - mistakes that were fixed
  • List of Illustrations - Links to all the cartoons, drawings, maps, and photos on the site.

  • Road Stuff, including:
    • 3-digit Interstates - loop and spur routes to the U. S. interstate highway system.
    • Connecticut - info about nearly all highways the state has ever built or planned
    • Field Guide to Interchanges - diagrams and explanations for several types of highway interchange
    • SignMaker / Trippy Drive '71 (Java) With SignMaker, you can create your own Big Green Sign (BGS), just like on American freeways, with authentic fonts, arrows, and route markers. Trippy Drive '71 uses SignMaker to give you the sensation of driving through an alternate universe: where Connecticut was able to build all the freeways it planned, and Bud Shuster built a new cross-country highway linking Altoona and California.
    • Me and The Roads (Java) - you get to rename towns, renumber highways, and pave new roads on a simulated island.
    • The Map Inside - scans, pictures, and essays about the part of the road map you really use: the inside.
    • South Park "lost episode" - Stan, Kyle and the gang build a freeway for a class project.

  • The Cynical Kurumian - some assorted rants and columns

  • MusicPOWER - music theory, criticism, and original songs. I haven't worked on this section in ages.

  • Fiction, including:
    • James Bonf Stories - short short spy story pastiches, most under 500 words.
    • The Mixup - a new mother finds out why her baby isn't really hers
    • Hank - synopsis of a movie we're sure to eventually see: a baseball-playing elephant saves a town
    • Space Hombres - aliens, not of the illegal kind, help defend earth against monsters

  • Games, including:
    • WWTBAM? - an interactive, unauthorized version of "Who wants to be a Millionaire?", a popular TV quiz show from the American network ABC. Topics include highways and H. P. Lovecraft.
    • Spider - a double-deck solitaire game for Windows. It's seven years old, but still habit-forming. Don't worry, you can quit anytime you want. You can choose English or Spanish for the user interface.
