Connecticut Route 172

	4.45 miles; from I-84 to Route 67 in Southbury.
	In the 1920s, State Highway 172 followed today's Route 69 from Waterbury to Bristol. The modern Route 172 was commissioned in 1935, extending 4.21 miles from South Main Street (US 6 at the time) to Route 67 in Southbury. Part of Route 172 was known as SR 455 earlier. In 1963, Route 172 was extended a short distance south, from old US 6 to I-84.
