Perhaps the unassuming Route 192 is the quintessential state highway for the Land of Steady Habits. It hasn't changed in 80 years – no call for it – cooperates across state lines, and, though well thought of locally, is overshadowed by its busier neighbors.

CT 192 History

Commissioned in 1932; no changes since then. Even its current length matches that found in my earliest highway log. It's not exactly the type of road you could write a book about.
